2 weeks ago, Kane had this incredible idea to herald my 14-day birthday party when we went out on Sunset Blvd. What you can see in the following is what turned out of it:
Saturday - August 1, 2009
A night out the worst Hollywood movie you can imagine. A night that started as funny as a night on Sunset with good food, drinks and good friends could only be, but turned into a temporary nightmare ;-) Funny and memorable though! This night will never be forgotten!
After a relaxing day at the Beach with Jef & his friend Mike from Seattle, we met with Kane & Alysha for dinner at the Saddle Ranch on Sunset Blvd. We had a great time, eating Steaks and Ribs and finally Alysha and me ended up riding the mechanical bull ;-) She did a great job and I even made it to the end of the whole 8 seconds. To be honest it was harder not to lose my shirt than not to fall off the bull. ;-)
So the moment we left the Saddle Ranch after that all of us were in a real good mood and felt well. Here is the summary of the rest of the night which actually ended at about 5am:
Dancing at the Red Rocks - Leaving the Red Rocks because of the 2 drunken guys in our company - having a hard time keeping Mike, who tried to kiss me all the way back to the car, at bay. He tumled, he wanted to sit down, he stopped, anyway he acted like every drunken would act. Girls on the boardwalk would walk by and say "I am so sorry ..." ;-) Thank you!! Wished the ground would swallow me up.....
Right the moment we finally reached the car we realized that Jef got lost. It took us about 1 hour to find him, cruising up and down Sunset to look for him, calling about 100 times hoping that someone else would answer the phone, because Jef obviously was in no position to tell us where he is! ;-) Finally a fireman called me back, telling me that they found our friend - passed out right in the middle of a street - and after driving there, Kane was able to convince the fire department to let him go. However - we finally made it to bring them home - me driving Mike´s car and Alysha following me to bring me back home and after 3 unbelievable loooong hours we arrived home and went stright to bed. ;-) Happily dreaming and sleeping almost all of the next day.
Tuesday - August 4, 2009
After work me and one of the girls in the office drove to Venice to meet Jimmy who had promised to look at the car I was considering buying. I´ll keep it short! The car is good enough for the short time that I will be here and so hopefully I will get a car in about 4 weeks ;-)
Instead of driving me home, Jimmy asked me to join the birthday dinner for his dad and so I ended up at the family dinner with Jason and Jimmy, their sister, parents and little Ryder.
Thursday - August 6, 2009
My first Baseball Game: Dodgers vs. Braves at the Dodgers Stadium, with Dodger Dogs, beer, the 7th inch stretch, music and a huge excitement when Andre Ethier got a walk-off homerun in the bottom off the ninth inning. ;-)

Friday - August 7, 2009
Sabine dropped me off in front of Jimmy´s house and we walked down Washington Blvd with Ryder in his stroller to get some dinner. Could go out for dinner every day - there are just too many amazing places around here.......
Later on I joined Nastias birthday - karaoke - party at Backstage near to our house. ;-) As you might know I am a horrible singer and decided to restrict myself to the background singing.
Saturday & Sunday - August 8/9, 2009
I accompanied Alysha & Kane to a conference of the YSA (Young Single Adults) of their church. - Yes my dears - CHURCH! I can tell you - I spent the whole day there - listened to workshops - found myself pushed into the middle of a Mormon speed-dating , talked to lot of people and even met a guy that was able to speak German. ;-)
I left the even at about 7.40 to go over to Jimmy´s house, as I was invited to accompany him and Sabine to a wedding party in Venice. Came back home 11.30 the next day after a hangover - breakfast at Flakes in Venice, just to take a quick shower and get picked up by Rick, who I´d met at Backstage Friday night before for going out for lunch.
The rest of the day I was glad to do NOTHING! But nights are not the same anymore - had to say goodbye to that amazing comfortable bed from Christina. ;-(
Monday - August 10, 2009
Hah - started to celebrate my birthday as soon as it turned midnight in GERMANY. Unpacked my birthday package from home and spent the whole evening, reading all the cute birthday cards and letters from you at home. Exchanged music with Alysha and tried to get friends with my new age of 23! ;-)
BIRTHDAY - TUESDAY - August 11, 2009
Birthday Birthday Birthday - This day was all about FOOD: Pancakes from Alysha for breakfast, lunch at a great Thai restaurant with my department, Birthday-Cup-Cakes from Alysha and Brasilian food at night for my birthday dinner..... had to roll to work the next day! Beside this exsessive eating sessions we visited the Griffith observatory at night from where you can have a magical view over whole L.A.. We did the telescope to see Jupiter and had a fun time while waiting in line. Kane mentioned that it is my birthday and suddenly the people up there startet singing "Happy Birthday" ;-) (back home at 2)
